Filled to the brim with painful secrets and desperate longings, Tennessee Williams’ masterwork is the story of a family breaking down. With iconic roles and beautiful poetry, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is a sexy, smoldering descent into a world choking on mendacity.
Ramin Afshari was born in Iran and immigrated to the US when he was 16 years old. He is a passionate cinema enthusiast and a self-taught artist that spends his spare time designing the projects he loves most. Ramin received his business degree from Cal State Channel Islands and he is currently pursuing his master’s. He has been working his entire career in the theatrical exhibition business and when he is not busy you can find him at a local movie theatre.
In this piece, I intended to showcase the complex dynamics of the characters’ conflicted relationship. The goal was to demonstrate Brick’s control and power over Maggie’s life and how she falls under his shadows, while also displaying the stubborn Maggie as someone who stands her ground and who would do anything to win back Brick’s love.
